Natia Chikvaidze (born 1991, Tbilisi, Georgia) is a contemporary dancer, choreographer, teacher, and performance artist. Her work integrates dance, sound, architecture, and interdisciplinary performance, with a focus on experimental and site-specific practices. She has performed internationally in Israel with Kamea Dance Company, Ballet Ness-Ziona, and Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company. She collaborates with (LA)HORDE / Ballet National de Marseille on Marry Me in Bassiani, a French-Georgian co-production.
In 2018, she co-founded PlazmPlatform, an independent space for experimental music, contemporary dance, and physical theater, aimed at developing a new contemporary and experimental dance scene in Georgia. She also collaborates with InForm – Platform for Inclusive Minds, leading inclusive projects such as FOLKS, IN C – Tbilisi, Contact Zone, and Tune Space. Her choreographic and performance work includes PlazmPlatform – Evening Song! What a Nice!, Antagonism of Desire, First Person Pause, 9 ACTS, Greenhouse.
Natia’s practice emphasizes experimentation, social engagement, and inclusivity. She works with communities affected by conflict or marginalization, using movement as a tool for expression, dialogue, and the body as a site of resistance, allowing individuals to process, assert, and transform their experiences through physical practice. Her work addresses disability, minority inclusion, and gender non-conformity, creating immersive experiences that foster reflection, connection, and transformative artistic expression.
